How Do Our Systems Work?
The Green Frog solar lights are comprised of solar grade Lithium-ion and our high end solutions use LiFeP04 (lithium iron phosphate) solar batteries with passive cell balancing.
The process is as follows:

Our solar street lights harvest sunlight during the daytime, and convert approximately 20% of sunlight energy into electrical energy that is stored in the unit's battery

Once sunlight is no longer available the solar street light will begin it’s preset operating mode by turning on and running from the power that was stored during the day. The energy stored during the day can be used to power the light for the whole night, or can be changed based on a user-determined operating profile.

During the evening the lights can be set to display at all times. Alternatively, they can also be programmed to only turn on when motion is detected with our system's built-in motion detectors. The lights will turn off once motion is no longer detected after a specified amount of time, effectively saving energy when it is not needed.

At sunrise, our systems automatically shut off and the day / night operation will restart again effectively creating a standalone solar light that is environmentally friendly and cost effective.
